A Folk Art Christmas at Honeysuckle Lane

I have a few items to offer this weekend just in time for your holiday decorating! :)
All of these items are made from laundered, recycled wool (a vintage army blanket, skirts, jackets, sweaters, etc.). Everything has been completely stitched by hand.

Please email me to ask questions or to purchase. I'll send a PayPal invoice when you are ready.

1. Penny Rug Wall Pocket
SOLD ~ thank you!

The pocket is made from an old army blanket. It has been hand-stitched by me. I have cut and hand-stitched various wool pennies to the blanket using over-dyed Valdani cotton threads. The pocket measures about 9 1/2" tall x 7" wide and the wire hanger adds another 6"-8".

$75 plus shipping
SOLD, Thank you!

2. Penny Rug Pillow
SOLD ~ thank you!

This pillow measures about 13 1/2" x 7" from seam to seam. It has been completely hand-stitched. I have filled it with all wool scraps, so it has the feel and look of an old-fashioned pillow and has a good weight to it. After sewing it up, I cut a slit in the back, stuffed it, and then very neatly whip-stitched the opening closed.

$100 plus shipping
SOLD, Thank you!

These pennies will be perfect for your tree... wire, feather, or evergreen! Most are 1 1/2" but a few are 2". You will get varying colors in your order but they are all made from the same wool as the pillow and wall pocket.

40 penny rug ornaments for $75
SOLD ~ thank you!

1769 Whale Pin Keep

1769 Whale Pin Keep
The blue-gray whale is made from recycled, felted wool and is blanket-stitched on a reproduction dotted paisley cotton fabric... which sort of looks like little whales! The year 1769 has been hand-embroidered with DMC cotton floss. The pin keep is completely hand-stitched, filled with wool scraps from my previous projects, and has a hand-written label stitched on the back. It measures about 5" x 7-1/2". The old felt-covered pins are NOT included.

If you'd like to add this pin keep to your folk art collection,
it's yours for $35 (plus shipping).
Email me to purchase.

Silk & Linen Puzzle Ball Pincushion

Silk & Linen Puzzle Ball Pincushion

This pin cushion is completely hand-stitched by me. The fabrics used are antique textiles: a wonderful floral linen and a gorgeous ombre stripe silk. I purchased these from an antiques dealer years ago and have been saving them for the perfect project and this is one of them!

I have sewn a vintage green glass bead at each intersection. These were taken from an old necklace I took apart to re-purpose the glass beads and the filigree fastener.

This puzzle ball pin cushion is about 4" across.

Pumpkin Papercuttings ~ Autumn & Halloween Art!

As requested, more papercuttings have been listed! Thank you so much for a quick sell out on my Early Work Mercantile page, which was my second batch of papercuttings. Since I had only two left from my first batch, I am adding them to this list to make it easier to find them all in one place.

All are cut free-hand by me, no patterns are used... completely one-of-a-kind!
I collect a variety of papers that you will find in these papercuttings:
* parchment paper that I have stained, watercolored, and/or printed with copies of indentured servant letters from the late 1700s
* original letters from the early 1900s
* French envelopes from the early 1900s
* flyleaf pages from antique and vintage books
* vintage metallic papers that were the linings of envelopes
* cardstock (black and sepia are used for trees and birds)
* vintage doilies for spiderwebs
All are signed and dated, Lana Manis 2015, and have the titles on the back.
Sizes, including frames, are approximate and vary slightly:
Items 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 are 5" x 6".
Item 5 is 4" x 5".
Item 7 is 3 3/4" x 3 3/4".
Item 8 is 6" x 8".

Little Prim Quilts - Updated March 12th

Update: More quilts added on March 12th!
Available #s are 4, 6, and 7.

Remember the little quilts I made 5 or 6 years ago using remnants of tattered vintage quilts? Well... I've made a few more!

The 3 smaller ones are hand sewn, both the original piecing and the quilting. I made the binding from muslin, machine stitched to the quilt, then turned to the back and hand stitched. The larger quilt was originally machine pieced and quilted. I added binding to this one, too.

They are the sweetest little things for a doll, or you could even use them as a mini cupboard coverlet (hang over an open door or drape over a shelf), or place on a table for a little prim mat.

Prim Quilt #1

$25
SOLD - Thank you!

Prim Quilt #2

$20
