Lost and Found - Pumpkins, Flowers, and Bees

I seem to do this more often nowadays... I make a few things, set them aside, and completely forget to list them! Here are a few paintings I did a few months back... and never put them in my shop.

All are done on 1/8" thick hardboard. Frames may be found or custom made at Hobby Lobby and other home decor craft stores. I check specifically at Hobby Lobby and frames may be custom made for less than $20. And with these acrylic paintings, no glass is needed!

Visit LANAMANISDESIGNS.ETSY.COM to shop.

Petite Pumpkin Papercuttings 2017 Collection

Each paper cutting was done by hand using simple utility scissors and stained, aged, and painted, parchment paper. Some of the papers were printed with copies of 18th century indentured servant letters. Each is initialed on the front and signed and dated on the back of the artwork.
The slightly distressed frames are new and have an easel back, except for the dark frame. It will need to be propped or sat on a little easel. Glass covers the paper cutting.
The artwork is about 2 3/4" x 1 3/4" and the frame is 5 3/4" x 4 3/4".

$25 each
($6 flat rate shipping in the U.S. - If outside the U.S. email for quote.)

More Treasures...

I call this a junk sale, but seriously... this isn't junk! I need to come up with another name for my sales. :)

Please email me with your choices AND your zip. I'll send an invoice for the total including shipping from me (in TN) to you. I use USPS Priority and First Class. If you are outside the U.S., please contact me for a shipping quote.  My email: lanamanis (at) gmail (dot) com

1. Aqua & Amber - Cross My Heart Necklace
SOLD ~ thank you so much! :)

I designed this necklace with a romantic, Paris flea market look in mind. It uses shades of aqua, amber, ecru, sepia, and aged metal. It's one of my absolute favorites! --- Which is why I hung on to it and didn't sell when I was repeatedly asked if it was available. However, it's time to part with it and let someone else enjoy this one of a kind adornment.

I made the 1.5" square soldered charm in 2009. It features stained parchment paper, a fragment of antique lace, and a watercolor stained paper heart. The back is stained parchment paper and is signed and dated Lana Manis 2009. The front is beveled glass and the back is flat glass. The lead free solder has an aged patina. I have hand made all of the chain links and the clasp from steel wire.

Beautiful aqua and amber glass beads embellish the chain. An antique piece of jewelry with dark aqua teardrop settings decorates the center front just above the soldered charm. It looks like a cross and is one of my treasured pieces... I couldn't part with it for a long time.

The open length is 21 inches. The cross & heart pendant drop length is 3 inches.

$125 SOLD ~ thank you so much! :)

2. A Bird in the Hand Topiary Set
(box with eggs not included)

"A  bird in the hand is worth two in the bush."
If you are one of my long-time customers, you probably remember all the Bird in Hand pieces I made over the years... pincushions, paintings, etc. This is a set I made about that same time.

Everything is a dark teal, copper, and brown, with glass glitter embellishments. Topiaries are 9" and 5 1/2" tall. This 3 piece set is one of a kind.

3. Nesting Watercolor Fraktur

This fraktur is based on a Pennsylvania watercolor of a distelfink feeding her young in a nest, ca. late 1700s. I've painted mine with watercolors, detailing with sepia ink. The artwork measure 6" x 12" and is in a wooden frame, painted black, distressed, and rubbed with my homemade beeswax paste. The art will be behind glass. I removed it for the photos. It has an easel back and a metal loop for hanging on the wall.

4.Walnut Ink Crystals, 7.7 ounces

I looked these up online and on average walnut ink crystals are $3.50 -  $4.00 per oz.

5.Windsor & Newton Artisan Water Mixable Oil Colour Starter Set - 6 colors

Retails for $26.99. I used a 40% off coupon at Hobby Lobby, getting this set for $16 plus tax.
You can see very little has been used. I tried them but prefer my acrylics and watercolors, as I'm not used to oils. If you work with oils, you'd be more familiar with this medium.
